Quickstart
Start with Kelra in Codex.
Kelra is currently distributed as source for a local macOS 14 or later build. No one-line installer or hosted MCP endpoint is available yet.
1. Build Kelra
Clone the Kelra engine repository and build the release executable:
cd /path/to/kelra-engine
swift build -c releaseThe executable is created at .build/release/kelra-mcp. The current build requires macOS 14 or later and the selected Xcode Swift toolchain.
2. Add the MCP to Codex
From the engine directory, register the executable with Codex:
codex mcp add kelra -- "$PWD/.build/release/kelra-mcp"
codex mcp listStart a new Codex session after adding the server. Confirm Kelra appears with codex mcp list.
3. Make a first measurement
Give the agent two points from a screenshot and ask it to calculate their distance with Kelra's measure tool. Coordinates use pixels unless a tool or operation says otherwise.
Kelra computes the supplied coordinates; it does not identify unlabeled objects in an image. Give the agent a screenshot, relevant bounds or points, and ask it to measure those coordinates.
